Staff and Parents' Association Music & The Creative Arts Fundraiser 2021

Penny donations for Music & the Creative Arts with the Roundups app

Dear Parents and Carers,

Our children have shown us that they are resilient beyond belief as they continue to strive and grow in unprecedented times. We recognise of course, that we need to foster this resilience and allow our children to continue to flourish. As a school we are justifiably proud of our academic achievements and would like to see this success reflected in music.

Our goal is to provide unique opportunities for self-expression and musical growth. In order to achieve this ambitious goal, we have been considering alternative fundraising ideas that will help us provide state of the art facilities and wonderful experiences for our children.

Due to Covid-19, we cannot have the usual delightful and highly enjoyable fairs, cake sales and fabulous events organised by our SPA, so to prove we are always forward-thinking and ambitious for our children we have signed up with a fundraising app called Roundups.

Roundups links with your card to round up your payments and donate pennies to our school’s fundraiser automatically as you go. You can choose to round your payments up to the nearest 10p, 50p or £1. For example, if you choose to round up your payments to the nearest 10p and you spend £2.78, the payment would be rounded up to £2.80 and you would pledge 2p to the fundraiser. You can also set a weekly cap and pause donations at any time.

We appreciate that this is a difficult time for many and therefore only ask that you sign up if you can spare the pennies. It is the small but regular contributions from many that will add up to make a difference to our school.

Donations through Roundups are private, the app has bank-grade security and complies with strict FCA and data protection laws.

The Project

We have an ambitious target of £10,000 which will be put towards the provision of Music and the Creative Arts.

It is widely recognised that music plays a valuable role in supporting children’s mental health and well-being. The benefits of music for children is also acknowledged for increasing their self-confidence, creativity and academic achievement.

The fundraiser aims to benefit all children attending St Anselm’s for years to come and so we wholeheartedly thank you for your contributions. You can sign up by clicking the 'Support us' button on this page.

Yours sincerely,

St Anselm’s School SPA
