Stokenchurch Dog Rescue

Support us

Stokenchurch Dog Rescue was set up by local residents in 1963 to save the lives of stray, abandoned and unwanted dogs, and those impounded by the police. Since then we have successfully rehomed thousands of dogs and are well known for our non-destruct policy.

We aim to rescue as many dogs as we are able and then find them safe and loving homes. We also work with members of the public who need to rehome their dogs.

Stokenchurch Dog Rescue receives no statutory funding of any kind, meaning all running costs and overheads are self-supported and self-financed. Our work would not be possible without donations from you.

Our mission statement

  • To take in and find good homes for the unwanted dogs and strays from the Wycombe District area and surrounding areas.
  • To care and protect as outlined above, those dogs in need of attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, neglect, poor circumstances etc.
  • To provide all veterinary care and further training - as needed - prior to rehoming.
  • To promote public interest in the ongoing welfare of the dogs in our care and the joys that responsible dog ownership brings.
